Our Club
Rugby has been played in the village of Douglas, on the south side of Cork City for over 100 years. Douglas Rugby Football Club as we know it today was founded in 1979 by the late Joe O’ Reilly, a Douglas man with a keen interest in sport and Séamus Corkery, who had played with Cork Constitution. The club now have a permanent home in Castletreasure and have high ambitions for further development.

our plans
We are a small club with big ambitions. In our new home in Castletreasure, Douglas where we have developed two new playing pitches, and an all weather 4G astro. Future phases of the plan include top of the reange floodlighting, and a new club house. To help us realise this ambition we need your support and the support of our local politicians. Please bring our plans to their attention so that they may be better informed and represent our club to the Minister at national level.
